Christmas is a celebration of pleasure: A busy year is followed by contemplative hours with the family. One enjoys the company of others, delicate food, and precious drinks. It does not matter if it is in front of the open fireplace, in a cozy gathering, or during New Years – aficionados insist on the pleasure of unique cigars from Villiger. For this occasion, the best Torcedores have created a limited edition for our long-established company, which serves to unite contemplation and enjoyment.
A present that is particularly suited for family, friends, work colleagues, or business partners: Lovers of exquisite cigars look forward to enjoying a cigar of the VILLIGER CHRISTMAS EDITION 2019. The case in festive design contains two high-quality Brasil Claro cigars, which frame a single Brasil Maduro cigar. The case was created with loving attention to detail in Christmas design and provided with magnetic closure.
The diverse pleasure of Brazilian tobaccos
The precious cigars of the VILLIGER CHRISTMAS EDITION 2019 were exclusively produced by hand in our Villiger Do Brasil factory located in Brazil and are created from tobaccos that have matured for at least three years. This gives the long-filler cigars a lightness and a balanced taste, which merges the aromas of cocoa, pepper and soft floral notes perfectly.
The bright Claro and darker Maduro wrapper provide the Puros made from Brazilian tobacco with an elegant appearance, which also varies greatly in taste. The silky, lightly golden Brasil-Sumatra wrapper makes both Claro cigars somewhat lighter, without sacrificing any aromatic depth.
The Arapiraca wrapper gives the Maduro cigar a subtle, aromatic sweetness with hints of coffee, musk, and leather.
The peculiarity of Brazilian tobaccos
“Brazil tobaccos are often suspected to be particularly strong. However, this is a significant misunderstanding in the history of the cigar, which was triggered by the dark color of the Maduro wrapper. In fact, Brazil tobacco surprises with its smooth, slightly sweet aroma, which is, at the same time, filled with temperament and flavor,” emphasizes Heinrich Villiger, the principal of the company.
The characteristic color stems from the unique climate and geography of the tobacco cultivation areas but is also based on the particular way it is processed. Here, tobacco leaves are not picked by hand and dried. Instead, the entire tobacco plant is harvested, which permits it to after-ripen. The leaves come with a more predominant structure and spiciness. A unique fermentation process results in their characteristic sweet-sour note and robust appearance.
The limited edition of only 1,000 pieces transforms each box of 3 into a particularly exclusive gift, which causes every aficionado’s heart to skip a few beats.
