Aged to Perfection

Fittingly for InterTabac 2022, VILLIGER opens its treasure chest and offers aficionados a new VILLIGER SAN’DORO edition.

VILLIGER SAN’DORO was first introduced as a new premium cigar line at IPCPR 2015 in Las Vegas. Two months later, at the InterTabac in Dortmund, Heinrich Villiger proudly presented the Nicaraguan lines Claro & Colorado and the Brazilian Maduro. The Claro strikes mellow Nicaraguan tones, while the Colorado promises a more full-bodied and spicy experience. The Brazilian Maduro delivers a medium body and bursts with finesse. Even then, it left no doubt that Puros from Brazil are second to none.

The Nicaraguan cigars are now produced in the company’s factory in Estelí. The flavor is shaped by tobaccos that are at least three years old. The first cigars sold in September 2015 were blended with tobaccos harvested between 2010-2012.

We have now created cigars using these tobaccos from the year in question, which are available as a limited edition at €190.

The slogan “Aged To Perfection” makes it clear: The high gloss lacquered box contains ten premium cigars waiting to be enjoyed by you. Each box contains five cigars in the Churchill format (50 ring gauge) and five from the Claro and Colorado line. Both cigars are made with a Nicaraguan filler and binder. The light Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper of the Claro is flawless and finely veined. The Ecuador Maduro wrapper of the Colorado impresses with a silky sheen and impeccable haptic. A second anilla at the foot completes the look and indicates the lengthy storage time of the tobaccos.
